Acura is the luxury vehicle marque of Japanese automaker Honda. The brand was launched in the United States and Canada in March 1986, marketing luxury, performance, and high-performance vehicles. The logo of the company was first introduced in 1990 and according to the official explanation represents a caliper, a precise and accurate measuring instrument with the idea to highlight the exceptional quality of the brand’s vehicles. However, many observers noted the resemblance of the emblem to the capital ‘H’ and ‘A’ letters, which apparently were understood to mean Honda and Acura. The white color in the Acura logo represents confidence, integrity, purity and the element of metal whereas the black color depicts elegance, sophistication, and power.
